John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, served from January 20, 1961, until his tragic assassination on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. Born on May 29, 1917, in Brookline, Massachusetts, Kennedy was the first Catholic president and the youngest elected to the office at 43.

Kennedy's presidency was marked by a commitment to public service, international diplomacy, and the promotion of civil rights. He famously delivered the inaugural address with the memorable line, "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country." He navigated the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, averting a potential nuclear conflict with the Soviet Union.
