State Flags List
U.S. state flags have unique designs influenced by local history and styles. They were created around the early 1900s when states wanted special flags for the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Illinois. Most state flags were made between 1893 and World War I. Utah has the newest flag, adopted on March 9, 2023, and in use starting March 9, 2024.
