The Ring-billed Gull (Larus delawarensis), designated as the state bird of Utah, is a medium-sized gull known for its distinctive appearance and widespread presence in North America. This gull species features a white body with gray wings, a yellow bill marked with a distinctive black ring near the tip, and bright yellow legs. A common sight near Utah's freshwater lakes, rivers, and reservoirs, Ring-billed Gulls are highly adaptable and opportunistic feeders, often scavenging for food in urban areas as well.
