Colorado State Flag

The flag of Colorado, officially adopted on June 5, 1911, is a symbol of the state's rich history and natural beauty. Designed by Andrew Carlisle Carson, it consists of three horizontal stripes of equal width, with the top and bottom stripes in blue and the middle stripe in white. A circular red "C" adorned with a golden disk sits prominently in the center of the flag. Each element of the flag carries profound symbolism: the blue represents the sky, the gold symbolizes the abundant sunshine Colorado receives, the white signifies the snowcapped Rocky Mountains, and the red represents the state's earth and the ruddy terrain. Moreover, the gold and white segments of the flag stand for Colorado's gold and silver mining industries, respectively.
