Nevada State Motto

All for Our Country

The official state motto of Nevada is “All for Our Country”. It was adopted in 1866 by the Nevada Legislature as an element of the Great Seal of the State of Nevada. The motto replaced the earlier territorial motto of “Volens et Potens,” which is Latin for “Willing and Able” expressing the ideas of loyalty to the Union and the mineral wealth to sustain it.
